About Tru72

Our Story.

A handshake in 1972. The same one today.

Two families, one operating standard, fifty-three years of Pacific Northwest homes. This is the story of how Larsell Mechanical became Tru72, and why the way the work gets done is older than the brand name on the truck.

R. Dennis Larsell with the original Larsell Mechanical van, carrying the family standard forward. The Oyler brothers as kids, candid family moment with a birthday cake. The next generation that would carry the work forward. A Tru72 technician walking to a Tru72 truck at a Pacific Northwest home today.
Two families, one promise

A handshake, held steady.Across three generations.

If a Tru72 technician shows up at your home tomorrow, the standard they're working to is older than they are. Older, in most cases, than the home itself. This is the story of how a small Albany HVAC shop founded on 1st Avenue in 1972 became Tru72, the union of two families committed to the same way of working: measure first, recommend second, stand behind your word.

It started with a handshake.

On April 16, 1972, Larsell Mechanical was founded by Richard A. Larsell, a craftsman who believed honest work, technical excellence, and standing behind your word were non-negotiable.

What began as a local heating and air company in Albany quickly earned a reputation for reliability and integrity. One customer, one system, and one relationship at a time. The shop on 1st Avenue still stands; the standard set there still runs every truck.

Values passed down. A standard upheld.

That legacy continued under the leadership of his son, R. Dennis Larsell, who carried the company forward for decades with the same values it was founded on.

"Treat customers like family. Do the job right the first time. Never compromise your name."

Under Dennis's leadership, Larsell Mechanical became a trusted cornerstone in the community.

A new chapter. Same values.

In 2025, after more than 50 years of family ownership, Dennis chose to pass the company on to another family that shared those same principles. The Oyler brothers: Tim, Matt, and CJ.

Back to what matters most.

For Tim Oyler, the transition felt personal. His journey in the trades began in 2009, rooted in home performance and energy efficiency. Over the next decade, he built and scaled HVAC, plumbing, and electrical companies, growing them into a multi-trade organization before selling to a parent company in 2022.

While the scale was successful, something was missing: the hands-on work, the shared purpose, and the pride of building something lasting together.

When the opportunity to acquire Larsell Mechanical arose, it felt like coming full circle. The company's history reminded Tim of his own grandfather, who worked on heating and refrigeration systems and instilled the same old-school values: show up, work hard, and leave things better than you found them.

A name that honors the past. A vision for the future.

The company was renamed Tru72, a tribute to 1972, the year it all began, and a promise to remain true to the values that built it.

Tru72 represents the union of two family legacies: the craftsmanship and reputation of the Larsell name, and the entrepreneurial drive and modern expertise of the Oyler brothers. Tim's home performance and energy efficiency roots gave the methodology a name. The Larsell standard gave it fifty-three years of practice.

Built by brothers. Backed by brotherhood.

Today, the Oyler Brothers family has grown beyond bloodlines alone. Tru72 is built by brothers in business and brothers in life: leaders, technicians, and teammates who share a commitment to each other, to the craft, and to the customers they serve.

This expanding brotherhood is the foundation for Tru72's continued growth and long-term vision. We don't guess. We test. We show up, we work hard, and we leave things better than we found them.
